Frequently asked questions
What is the load rating?
Steel and titanium: 200 lb static. Aluminum: 120–150 lb static. It is an everyday-carry tool, not rated for climbing, rappelling or fall arrest.
Which tools are built in?
A box cutter, bottle opener, Phillips and flathead drivers machined into the frame corners, and a pry edge. The plain PRO has no ruler.
Can I fly with it?
In the U.S., remove the box-cutter module with the included Torx T8 tool and pack the module in checked luggage, then carry the frame. Rules in other countries differ; when in doubt, check it.
What is the Secret Capsule?
A small hidden compartment in the gate. Unscrew the knurled ring past the unlock point to reach it. It fits a small flint, a rolled bill or 1–2 pills.
Can I add a key module?
Yes. The Carabiner Key Module Addon fits the PRO and holds up to 3 keys silently.
What warranty does it carry?
GPCA™ Carabiners carry a lifetime hardware guarantee.
